I GOT NOTHING!

It’s not easy to run a creative business when you’re not feeling especially creative.
As far as creating postcards go, I’m running low on the components I use to make them — the background images, the models, and the text bubbles. Even my supply of watercolor hearts is almost tapped, come to think of it. See, all that stuff takes plenty of time to select, scan, size, print, cut out, paste, et cetera. It’s truly a process. And a process requires lots of step-by-step work.
But I’ve had neither the time nor the motivation to do it. (Emphasis on motivation.)
There’s plenty I need to do as far as investing myself in this website, too. Like creating listings for the Shop, writing “totally true love stories” for the postcard designs I got printed up this month, and coming up with fun new ways to bundle and market the postcards.
Again, I just haven’t been feeling the burning desire to do much of anything along those lines, lately. I mean, tomorrow is the last Sunday Market of the season, so maybe that’s been weighing on me. It’s time to transition back to attending to all the other parts of Y.B.D., besides setting up the pop-up shop.
So I kind of feel like I’m in purgatory right now. And I have to remind myself that it won’t last forever.
I have a nice image in my head of being all cozy in my postcard offices this winter, happily gluing and cutting and maybe even getting into cool things on my computer, like making videos for the YBD site.
I would encourage you to come on out to the Market tomorrow, and maybe you can encourage me, okay? ❤️🔥—Y.B.D.
