It’s hard to know where to start with this card. But first, let me check in with you about how it struck you. Were you shocked and scandalized? Would it help to know that these models weren’t auditioning for a skin flick, but rather, that the image came from a legitimate editorial layout in the pages of Vogue? In typical Vogue fashion, the models are expressive; the color palettes are on point; and the poses are unforgettable (at least, until next month’s issue came along, with newer styles and fresher faces). At any rate, what I love about this card is that the models aren’t trying to appear especially seductive. Instead, the vibe is more like a bunch of gal pals hamming it up (and letting it all hang out) at a rip-roaringly fun slumber party. And that’s the point I was trying to make with this card: look twice at whatever situations or circumstances are right in front of you, because the opportunity for love and enjoyment could be buried underneath what you see at first glance. I’ve said it more than once, and I’ll say it again now: True Love isn’t some unattainable, fantastical notion of childish romance. True Love is in the air we breathe, in the people and potentially great relationships we have the power to foster, and it is, indeed, everywhere we look. Just as long as what we’re looking for is something good. ❤️‍🔥—Y.B.D.
