All I really want — as a writer, a postcard designer, and the creator of this real and virtual Universe of True Love — is for people to feel understood and uplifted. The rest of life can be so hard, but here is one thing that can be fun and easy and pretty to look at. And let’s face it, sometimes a quick “hit” is all you need! A flash of recognition that helps you forget about your loneliness, your longing, or your sneaking suspicion that you are somehow not okay. But in the Universe of True Love, you are definitely okay. More than okay: you are loved. See, this whole Universe of True Love stuff isn’t a gimmick, and it isn’t a game. It speaks to the true nature of Love itself — namely, that love is everywhere, around us and within us, should we choose to look for it and live it out. But mostly, what the Universe of True Love wants is for you to simply recognize and acknowledge it as such… and then take your rightful, loving place within it. So I guess that’s what I’m trying to do, over here in my own tiny corner of the Universe. I’m like a one-man propaganda machine for True Love, in the form of a fun little souvenir shop where people can buy trinkets that remind them of that love they recognized, if only for a moment. Images on a smartphone or the Internet may be fleeting, but a postcard lasts (basically) forever! Tack it up at your desk, send one to your best friend, or slip one to your lover.
